If you have not made soap before STOP HERE! It is extremely important that you have made soap before and understand lye safety. This class is perfect for those who have attended our first introductory class of Cold Process Soap Making.
Class fee includes a wooden soap mold, a goat milk soap recipe, and instructional time from an experienced soap maker. All materials (oils, milk, herbs, essential oils) will be provided, as well as pigments and botanical colorants.
These techniques will be taught during this class.
"Drop Swirls", "In the Pot Swirls", "Embed techniques", "Soap Coloring".
The workshop will have a maximum of 6 participants. This is an adult-oriented workshop, not recommend for children under the age of 16. Please make sure your arms and legs are covered, and please wear closed-toed shoes.
Aprons, googles, and gloves will be available, but if you have your own personal safety gear you can bring them. We suggest you bring a small box such as a shoe box to transport your soap home.
Class will begin at 5:30pm and run approximately 1 1/2-2 hours and is located at the Purity Soapworks shop, 508 N. Ruby Street, Ellensburg, WA. We recommend you arrive 5 minutes before classes start.
We are offering beginner classes on Thursday afternoon, approximately every two weeks. Any changes will be posted to this web site, Facebook or Instagram. We can make arrangements for other soap making class dates, just give me a call.
We do not offer refunds, but realize that life can get in the way and plans change, we will always work with our friends to make arrangements if a class needs to be rescheduled.
