Explore the world of soap crafting!
You will learn essential techniques, experiment with colors and create personalized soaps under expert guidance. This class offers the art of making goat milk soap from scratch using the cold process method. You will be creating 20 ounces of goat milk soap, approximately 4 one-inch by 4 inch bars.
You will learn about safety, combining oils, blending and achieving trace, curing your soap, and how to use Soap Calc, an on-line calculator for precise soap formulations.
Class fee includes a silicone soap mold, a goat milk soap recipe, and instructional time from an experienced soap maker. All other materials (oils, milk, herbs, essential oils) will be provided.
The workshop will have a maximum of 6 participants.
Aprons, googles, and gloves will be available, but if you have your own personal safety gear you can bring them.
Class will begin at noon and run approximately 1 1/2-2 hours and is located at the Purity Soapworks shop, 508 N. Ruby Street, Ellensburg, WA. We recommend you arrive 5 minutes before the class starts.
At this time we are offering beginner/intermediate classes on Saturday's, approximately every two weeks. Any changes will be posted to this web site, Facebook or Instagram. We can make arrangements for other soap making class dates, personalized classes, or hold workshops at other locations.
We do not offer refunds, but realize that life can get in the way and plans change, we will always work with our friends to make arrangements if a class
needs to be rescheduled.
