Calendula (Calendula officinalis) or more commonly known as pot marigold is an annual or perennial herbaceous plant in the daisy family Asteraceae. Calendula, is one of the most common herbs and can be found growing in people’s homes throughout North America and Europe Calendula is believed to have originated from Egypt and native in Southern Europe but is now cultivated throughout the world as a garden plant. Calendula has long been used as herbal medicine to promote healing of skin wounds and reduce inflammation. Purity Soapworks uses Calendula in every bar of soap they make, but we put extra in this bar to make it the most moisturizing bar of soap possible!
Ingredients: Glacial water, Saponified oils of Olive, Coconut, local leaf lard and Soybean. Super fatted with Calendula oil. Rosemary extract, a natural preservative, pure essential oils and golden Calendula flower petals are added making this the best skin soothing soap you can find.
